The World Cyber Games, or WCG, is one of the most popular annual international e-sports event first established in 2000. It is a global tournament that covers PC, Xbox 360 and mobile gaming in a variety of game genres, such as FPS, RTS, fighting and racing games. The main World Cyber Games tournaments, also known as WCG Grand Final, should not be confused with the WCG Asian Championship, a seperate, pan-regional tournament which includes DotA-Allstars.
The Philippines has started participating in the competition in 2003. As of November 11, 2008, the Philippines is ranked 40 out of 83 participating countries with total points of 25.90.1 The WCG Ranking is decided cumulatively by the performance in WCG Grand Finals and WCG Pan Championships (in the case of the Philippines, the WCG Asian Championships).
