ROSE Online, whose acronym stands for "Rush on Seven Episodes", is a 3-dimensional massively multiplayer online role-playing game. It is the second MMORPG to be published by Level Up! in the Philippines.

Iya Villania was the game's official image model in the Philippines.

History and Closure

Philippine ROSE Online, or pROSE, began its open beta phase on June 2005, and became Level Up!'s second MMORPG in the country. It was launched commercially on September 1, 2005,1 under a pay-to-play model.

ROSE Online Evolution, the first major update for the game, went online on August 18, 2006.2

On April 18, 2007, the game went free-to-play as an experimental setup in order to determine the viability of such business model.3

pROSE was shut down on August 6, 2007 due to lack of developer support from Triggersoft.4 Other country versions who did not close, however, acquired rights to develop the game independently.

Acronym Joke

Because ROSE Online is the follow-up title to Gravity's hugely successful MMORPG, Ragnarok Online,5 many gamers joked that the acronym "ROSE" actually stands for "Ragnarok Online Second Edition".
