RF Online Philippines
RF Online Philippines is published by Level Up! Games. The game went open beta on November 18, 2005, and was launched commercially on January 10, 2006.1
The game was originally on a pay-to-play subscription model, with higher rates than Level Up!'s first MMORPG, Ragnarok Online. However, on August 28, 2007, RF Online Philippines went free-to-play together with the arrival of Episode 2 - Giga 1: Pioneers of Novus.2
RF Online Philippines is the country's first and only sci-fi MMORPG in the market.
Plot
RF Online centers around the veritable free-for-all war of the last descendants of the human race in the Novus sector. Each of the three factions battle for the right to control the crag mines and harvest the precious Halomental minerals. The race that possessed Halomental possessed the power to rapidly advance its civilization.
Factions

Cora
The Holy Alliance of Cora is a spiritual race who worships the deity known only as DECEM. Their devotion to DECEM allowed the Corites to possess supernatural powers beyond that of the other races. Their race specialty is the ability to summon powerful beings known as Animus.
Accretia
The Accretian Empire is a race of cyborgs who only believes in science and technology. As such, they are the only race without access to the Force. Their race specialty is the ability to wield launchers, weapons that deal massive damage to their opponents.
Bellato
The Bellato Union is a race of inventors who practices the Force, but at the same time an advocate for technology. They are a balance between the two other races. Their race specialty is the ability to ride Massive Armor Units or MAUs, gigantic cybernetic units piloted by a Bellato driver.
Gameplay
Factions
When a player first creates his first character on a server, he has the option of choosing which side he will play. Succeeding characters created on the same server and account will be sided in the chosen faction by default; the only way to choose another side on the same server is to create a newer account or delete all existing characters in the old one.
Faction players, with the exception of player-voted race Archons and Councils, are incapable of communicating with other factions' players in-game. Any attempt to communicate using text will result in the other race simply seeing random ASCII characters.
Choosing a faction has an impact on overall gameplay, as not only it determines which towns and maps the player starts out with, but it will also determine which his enemies are.
Open PvP
The game is open PvP, and players of one race is free to engage in combat against players from the two other factions with or without approval. While there are other areas that players are incapable of engagement, such as inside towns and beginner areas, most other places including leveling and farming grounds are fair game. For a faction to succeed, they must work together to repel raiders that prey on lower-leveled characters to ensure everyone in the race levels up and is capable of contributing to the race.
Chip Wars
The center of the game lies in the chip wars, a massive PvP-fest between the three factions. It occurs every 8 hours at 5am, 1pm and 9pm. The objective is to destroy another faction's chip while protecting their own. The wars are led by the Archon and/or other Council members. Winning the war grants the participants exclusive mining access to the core, as well as a faction-wide buff to aid in leveling and PvP. Losing the war not only denies that faction access to the core, but also a faction-wide debuff. Effects of the war lasts until an hour before the next chip war.
